What is Project RedTail?
Project RedTail is a new way to experience pictures, videos, music, and content on the web.- Mash media and 3D designs together into cool personal expressions that you can share and embed.
- Design your own expressions using easy tools, or use cool designs that other people have shared.
- Do it all without any coding.
How does it work?
Project RedTail uses technology from Vizible Corporation to deliver digital media to your computer inside of interactive, 3D worlds.The Vizible platform is a unique, open technology for gathering digital media from all over the network and displaying it inside of a web-enabled 3D client on the desktop.
What types of media can I upload?
You can upload:- Pictures (jpg, gif, png, bmp),
- Audio (mp3, wma, aif, wav),
- Video (avi, mov, wmv, mpg),
- Ogre meshes and materials.
What system requirements should my computer meet?
We recommend that you have a fast computer.How fast? This fast: View the system requirements.
Does it run on a Mac?
We've done the Alpha release of the Mac Client, but it's still buggy. We're working on it! We currently support Intel and PowerPC Macs running Mac OS X, up to 10.4.What browsers are supported?

Some problems occur with Firefox 2.0.0.2 (see our Known Issues), so if you're using it, please upgrade to a newer version.

Why should I enable Cookies on my PC?
To enhance your experience with Project RedTail, many of our web pages use "cookies". Cookies are small text files that we place in your browser to store your preferences. Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your e-mail address or other personal information unless you choose to provide this information to us by, for example, registering for Project RedTail.We use cookies to understand site usage, and to improve the content and offerings on our site. For example, we may use cookies to personalize your experience with our Service (e.g. to recognize you by name when you return to our site, or to tailor content or product and service offerings).
Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You can set your browser to reject cookies, and you can also delete existing cookies from your browser. You will find that some parts of the site will not function properly if you have refused cookies.
How do I clear my browser cache?
If you are using Internet Explorer 7:- From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
- Click Delete all to delete all browsing history or select a specific category to delete.
- From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- On the General tab, under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete files.
- Choose to delete all offline content.
- From the Tools menu, click Clear Private Data.
- Select Cache, and clear the select boxes for everything else.
- Click Clear Private Data Now.
How do I clear my Client cache?
In order to clear your Client cache on Windows XP, you must have Show hidden files and folders enabled.- In Windows Explorer, go to \Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\thiing\3DClient\Profiles\Default\Cache.
- In the Cache folder, delete all the files.
How do I show hidden files and folders?
To enable this in Windows XP, do the following:- In Windows Explorer. select Folder Options from the Tools menu.
- On the View tab, under Advanced settings, open the Files and Folders.
- Scroll down the list until you see Hidden files and folders.
- Open the folder and enable Show hidden files and folders and click OK.
How do I find my Client log?
The Client log on Windows machines can be found at:C:\Documents and Settings\<Insert Your User Name Here>\Application Data\thiing\3DClient\thiing.log.
In order to see this folder, you will need to show your hidden files and folders.
How do I find the Internet Explorer log files to report any crashes to the Client?
There are two files to include when logging a bug about the Client crashing: errorlog.txt and errorlog.dmp.These two files can be found on Windows in your Program Files/Internet Explorer/ folder.
Why does the service say my session has expired if I don't use my computer for a while?
To increase the security of your account, the service will automatically log you out if you have not used your computer for more than 30 minutes.If my session times out, what happens to the project I was working on?
At this time, if your session times out, anything that you have been working on is lost.We recommend that you Save frequently so you don't lose any work.
How do I log a bug?
Use the report a problem link on the Project RedTail web pages.How do I give feedback or request a new feature?
You have a couple of options.- Click on the provide feedback link in the menu on all pages.
- Click the contact link found link in the menu on all pages.

What if I forget my password?
Click on the forgot my password link on the sign in pageI am trying to register and I can't read the verification code. What should I do?
If you can't see the image, click Get New Code to see another code that may be easier to read.Why do I have to enter a verification code?
The verification code is an extra security check that helps prevent automated registrations and inappropriate use of Project RedTail.If you enter the code incorrectly, you will be asked to try again.
